Sri Lanka's prominent all-rounder Chamari Athapaththu has ascended two spots in the latest ICC Women's ODI Player Rankings, reaching the seventh position among all-rounders.

Athapaththu played a key role in Sri Lanka's recent ODI series against New Zealand, contributing 25 runs and taking three wickets. Despite her efforts, Sri Lanka fell short as New Zealand secured a 2-0 series victory. Her improved performance saw her surpass Black Ferns veteran Sophie Devine, sharing the seventh spot with Australia’s Annabel Sutherland.

In other updates, India's Deepti Sharma climbed to fifth place in the all-rounder rankings, overtaking New Zealand's Amelia Kerr.

Meanwhile, in the ICC ODI batting rankings, England's Nat Sciver-Brunt moved up to third place, surpassing Chamari Athapaththu in the tally.
