Former Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal, 36, suffered a heart attack during a Dhaka Premier League match while fielding for Mohammedan Sporting Club against Shinepukur Cricket Club. Initially taken for tests, his condition worsened, and he was admitted to KPJ Hospital, where doctors discovered a blockage in his heart. An angiogram was performed, and he remains under observation.

Tamim, who played for Bangladesh from 2007 to 2023, featured in 70 Tests, 243 ODIs, and 78 T20Is, scoring over 15,000 runs with 25 centuries.
