Lightcliffe Cricket Club is set to celebrate its 150th anniversary in style with a weekend of exciting events in July 2025. The festivities kick off on Thursday, July 3, with a T20 match at Till Carr Lane ground, featuring some of cricket's greatest names. Legendary West Indian bowlers Curtly Ambrose and Courtney Walsh, along with Yorkshire’s Ryan Sidebottom, will take the field against a specially selected Lightcliffe XI. Adding to the excitement, renowned commentator Henry Blofeld will provide live coverage of the match.

The celebrations continue on Sunday, July 6, with the much-loved Lightcliffe Village Gala. This free annual event, attracting hundreds of visitors, will feature stalls, games, live music, dance performances, delicious food, and refreshing drinks.
