This win marked their second triumph over the defending champions this season, courtesy of an outstanding bowling display led by Jess Jonassen and a blistering 85-run opening partnership between Meg Lanning and Shafali Verma.

Mumbai’s Struggles with the Bat

Chasing 124, Delhi Capitals' openers made the result a mere formality. Lanning and Verma attacked early, racing to 57 in the PowerPlay. Verma took charge, smashing two sixes off Kerr before falling for 43. Lanning remained unbeaten on 60*, guiding her team home in just 14.3 overs. This emphatic win not only secured the top spot for Delhi but also significantly boosted their Net Run Rate.
