In a nail-biting encounter at Visakhapatnam's Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Delhi Capitals (DC) edged out Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by one wicket, thanks to a sensational innings by debutant Ashutosh Sharma. Chasing a formidable target of 210, DC found themselves in dire straits at 7 for 3. However, Ashutosh's unbeaten 66 off 31 balls turned the game on its head, guiding his team to victory with just three balls to spare. 


LSG, after being put in to bat, posted a challenging 209 for 8. Their innings were bolstered by explosive contributions from Nicholas Pooran (75 off 30 balls) and Mitchell Marsh (72 off 36 balls), who combined for a rapid 147-run partnership. Despite their efforts, DC's bowlers staged a remarkable comeback in the latter stages, conceding only 48 runs in the final seven overs and claiming six wickets. 


DC's chase began disastrously, losing three wickets for just seven runs. The situation seemed bleak until Ashutosh Sharma took center stage. Initially scoring at a run-a-ball pace, he accelerated dramatically, amassing 46 runs off his final 11 deliveries. His aggressive stroke play, featuring five fours and five sixes, culminated in a match-winning six down the ground off Shahbaz Ahmed, sealing a memorable victory for DC.
